2ND CLASS STATIONARY ENGINEER

The 2nd Class Stationary Engineer License is the Entry-Level certification in the City of Buffalo’s Stationary Engineering Program. This license authorizes individuals to operate a boiler plant up to 175 horsepower and manage up to 150 tons of refrigeration, under the supervision of a 1st Class or Chief Stationary Engineer. The course includes 80 hours of foundational instruction designed to prepare operators for hands-on responsibilities and further advancement in the program.
